This book is a photographic celebration of the numerous Bedfords New Zealanders have owned and loved over the years.

 

From Day one, Bedfords were quickly put to work in New Zealand and were in fact the backbone of many industries of the day - on the road, on the farms, in the forests or on the wharves, in the factories, towns and cities delivering goods,  carrying people,  yes Bedfords were there to do the job.

 

Kiwis soon learned that the Bedford was reliable with it solid cab, versatile body,  it could be adapted for 1001 different purposes.  The Bedford became the Kiwi equivalent of the No. 8 wire [  this is 8 gauge wire used for fencing and if there was a breakage or problem anywhere, the trusty no. 8 wire would fix it ! ],  its diverersity and practicality epitomised Kiwi ingenuity.

 

 

The Kiwi love affair with the Bedford continues till this day and this lively book will appeal to Bedford owners, past,  present and future as well as all those with a sense of adventure, a dose of nostalgia , a flair for the artisitic, an interest in details and most of all  a joy of all things Kiwi !
